I found this postcard online and just received it today. It shows the fountain still spraying water. The picture was most likely taken between 1912-1915. No date on the postcard or the picture. You can see the entrance to Bible School Park coming in. Not much changed from the fountain when it was purchased from the White City Amusement Park in 1910 and then in 1911 when the school moved. Today the foundation of the fountain is that of where the flags are standing (see below).

School Bell...Ringing in a new phase of Davis History

The School Bell, given to the school by the class of 1923, has been moved from the roof of Chatlos over the summer. The bell that was given by the Senior Class of 1923 and was rung over the years has been taken down to be restored and placed in the center of the campus for all to see and enjoy. It will be placed where the old fountain once sprayed water. It will be the Alumni project for this year's Homecoming. A planned gazebo is also going to be adorned in the center next to the bell. It is great be able to see this wonderful piece of Davis College History up close and personal as it sits next to the entrance of the cafe. Can you hear it ringing as it wakes you up for class?

Here is a set of photos of PBTS from the air. An airplane flew over the campus in the mid-1920 (1923-1924 would be my estimate, maybe 1925). The photos were put in many Theologues in the late 1920s and early 1930s. This scan is from the 1934 Theologue. Now I love these photos, but I have no idea where the original photos are. I would love to have the original photos back to the school so I can get better scans of them. The pictures show the Main Building, King Hall, the Inner Circle, the fountain, and every other detail of the old campus of PBTS. If you know where these photos are or who might have taken them (from the Binghamton area) please email me. I would love to have much better scans than the ones from Theologues.

Shall we gather at the fountain? The fountain outside of the Main Building of PBTS was a wonderful centerpiece for many years. It was part of the White City Amusement Park and then it was restored when the Park was bought of Dr. Davis. The fountain still exists on the campus, yet it is not used as a fountain but as the foundation for the four flagpoles that hang the American flag, Christian Flag, NYS flag, and Davis College flag. Are there any great memories from this fountain?
