Classes begin in the morning

The Spring 2010 Semester begins in the morning (Monday, January 11, 2010). Keep the students in prayer as they continue or finish up their education. For some this will be their last semester and will be graduating in May to head out into the world. Pray that they will keep their focus on Christ in every aspect of their education.

The 2009-2010 semester of Davis College is about to begin. Today, (Saturday, August 22, 2009) I went over to the campus to get some pictures of the campus and to see some friends that are doing RA training. Today was the CPR/First Aid Training for the RAs. Thankfully the rain held off so I was able to get some pictures outside and more importantly on the roof of Chatlos. I was hoping to get some good pictures of the campus from a higher point of view. A few above are from the roof of Chatlos-Davis. As you can see from the first image, Davis College has been blessed by receiving two new vans to replace the older vans. Continue to keep the college in your prayers as a new semester is about to begin.

Classes begin today for the 2008-2009 school year

Keep the students in prayer today as they start off a new school year at Davis. The first classes begin at 7:25 AM this morning. Pray for the professors, staff, and administration as they instruct and prepare, and work to do what God wants them to do for this school year. Pray for strength for everyone on the campus. Pray for protection from the evil one as this new school year commences.

A new Semester of Davis College has begun. It has been 2 years since starting up this Davis College History blog. It was a great time being able to help out at the college today and yesterday getting things ready for Registration. It was great to see the dorm filled with new students and lots of returning students. The majority of returning will return tomorrow (Sunday) or Monday for registration. It was hard to believe that many of the incoming Freshman were born in 1990. I got to meet a few of them and they have great hearts and a passion for the Lord. It will be an excellent class to get to know when I visit Davis. Welcome to Davis College Class of 2012.

Keep the College and they students both the new and the returning in your prayer as they study and learn and prepare for the ministry. Just as our Alma Mater says:

We will all pray daily for you
Though we're far from here.

So whether you are near the campus of Davis College or far from it. Keep the students (new and returning), the Faculty, Staff, and Administration in your prayers.

New Students arriving next week for a new Semester

This coming week new students will be coming to Davis College. The soccer players are coming back this week and the RAs are having their training. On Friday all new and transfer students not on the soccer teams will be coming to the campus to prepare for the next step in their walk with the Lord. Keep all the families of the new students in your prayers as they journey to Binghamton. Some the journey maybe longer than others. Keep the new students in prayer as they start new classes and meet new people. Keep the RAs in your prayers as they prepare the new and returning students that they would protected from the evil one. There is a battle out there, but we are on the winning side with Jesus Christ our Lord. Keep the college always in your prayers and all the players involved.

A new semester is coming to Davis College

Nearly a year ago (almost 100 posts ago) I started blog as I was entering my Senior year at Davis College. Now I am an Alumnus of the College and it is hard to believe. Now I am in the process of looking for a job and an apartment to begin to pay down my school loans so that I continue the journey God has me on in going back to Papua New Guinea to do Bible Translation. This week also begins the last preparations for new school year. Faculty and Staff will be having meeting throughout the week and the RAs and RDs will be having training for the new students and transfers coming at the end of the next week. Keep the new students and returning students in your prayers that they will grow in Christ this coming year. So keep them in your prayers and the administration and faculty and staff. There is spiritual warfare going on and we can use all the prayers of the Body of Christ.
