Davis College Hope Tent Interviews

Sharon O'Connor, Director of Marketing at Davis, did four different video interviews at the Spiedie Fest on Saturday. Below are the videos.

Dr. Charles Colton is the Chair of the Organizational Leadership program at Davis College and the author of the book "Core Christianity". He is going into his second year as a professor at Davis.

Junior Ben Tinsch talks about what is happening at the Hope Tent and his ministry at North Syracuse Baptist Church.

At last but not least I was interviewed. I talk about the Hope Tent and The Alumnus publication (by the way you have received it today, and if not today then tomorrow).

Yesterday (Friday, August 1, 2008) the 24th annual Spiedie Fest began. Davis College is represented there as part of the Hope Tent. The Fest Concludes tomorrow (Sunday, August 3, 2008). For being one of the groups at the festival they were given a free Hot Air Balloon ride for the 6 PM launching. No one from the group wanted to take it so they offered it to me. It was a great time. Never flown in Hot Air Balloon, but it was beautiful weather and God creation was beautiful as we floated above the trees, river, and hills.

Tomorrow there will be a church service at the Hope Tent so come over and worship with believers from around the Southern Tier. Service begins at 10 AM. At 3 PM Rebecca St James will be preforming live at the Spiedie Fest.

Today (Sunday, July 20, 2008) there was a great concert on the lawns of Davis College (where King Hall once stood). It was presented by Andrew's Good News Ministry that had a motorcycle rally yesterday. It was a good turn out on the sunny Sunday afternoon. First to perform was a band called One Step Closer followed by Charity Von. Chris Seavey, head of Youth Minstries at Davis, gave his testimony and invited anyone who didn't know Christ to come to Him today. Toward the end of the concert a thunderstorm came through with a lot rain entering the tent. It was a great day.

Next month Spiedie Fest in Binghamton, August 1-3, 2008. On Sunday, August 3, 2008 (at the fest) Rebecca St James will be preforming.

New Look to the Davis Website

There is a new look to the Davis College website http://www.davisny.edu. Check it out today. There is even a video done by CGI communication company. Sharon O'Connor has done a great job with the website! Davis College is moving Forward in the mission to train the next generation of Christian leaders!

50th class reunion for 1957 PBTS class in a month

In a little over a month the PBTS class of 1957 will be celebrating their 50th class reunion. The reunion leader is Dr. James 'Scotty' Little.
