Another photo of the Main Building in the early 1920s

Here is a new picture I found here on the campus of Davis College. It is of the Main Building and the driveway showing the cross above. This photo was also taken in the early 1920s after the Crowell Memorial wing was built (1919-1920) and before the School Bell was added to the building (1923).

Welcome to Bible School Park and straight ahead is the Main Building of our fine campus. The Lord has been been good to us by blessing us with this campus "on the banks of the Susquehanna."

This picture was taken between late 1921 and early 1923. I think it was taken around 1922 like the other picture that is facing toward the North. Crowell Hall has clearly been completed (which happened in 1920, after the death of Henry Crowell in 1919). Another item that is missing is the bell from the right hand side. The bell was given my the class of 1923 (so this puts this picture around 1921 or 1922; like the other picture of the main building).

The Funeral of Henry Crowell

In February of 1919 there was a funeral here on the campus of Practical Bible Training School. It was the funeral of Henry E. Crowell. He had passed away in January of 1919. Rev. Crowell left a gift of money to PBTS, which was used in constructing a memorial building for him. This was completed in the fall of 1920. This building was a three-story wing, which was attached to the southern end of the Main Building.
