What memories do you have of winters at PBTS?

Photo taken by Kim Phillips December 2

What are some memories Alumni have of winters on the campus of PBTS and PBC? This is picture of the snow that covered the grounds on December 2, 2007. There are a few pictures in the post I did from the scan Mrs. Krooswyk gave me. I would love to hear some stories about the winter memories on this campus or any other memories of your time spent of the campus. There is much history to bring to the light.

Update: Presidential interviews are going well. Final stage for the writing of questions for Dr. Linebaugh's interview this week.

Some images of PBTS in the 1930s

This is a scan of a photocopy that Mrs. Eleanor Krooswyk (1937) let me borrow. It shows some images of the campus during the winter months and the flood that happened in 1935. Looks a lot like the flood of 2006. 70 year flood??? I love seeing the old cars in these pictures. Some great images and memories of years gone past.

Davis Alumni Mrs. Krooswyk in the newspaper

Mrs. Eleanor Krooswyk has made it into the local paper, the Press and Sun Bulletin. The article was in yesterday's (Thursday, October 18, 2007) edition. Read the story here. Mrs. Krooswyk has, as mentioned a few posts below, graduated from PBTS in 1937. She is now 91, going on 92 in a couple of months.

Colorized Photo of Hazel Davis

Here is a colorized photo of Hazel Davis, Gordon Davis' wife, that Mrs. Eleanor Krooswyk donated to the school. The texture is a hard cardboard and the paint used to colorize the former black and white photo appears to be watercolor. This was a common practice in the Early part of the 20th century, because of the expensive color film.

Eleanor (Klaub) Krooswyk- class of 1937 at Homecoming

Eleanor (Klaub) Krooswyk was the oldest Alumni to come to Homecoming this year. It was her 70th class reunion. She graduated in year 1937.

She and her husband worked for the school for many years. The picture above shows her and her late husband working for PBTS as field representatives.

Here is Mrs. Krooswyk at Homecoming with the Davis College display in the background.

Here I am with Mrs. Krooswyk in the Robb Gym for Homecoming 2007. Even after 70 years Mrs. Krooswyk is still going strong serving the Lord. It was great to see her again.
