Tomorrow (Friday, January 22, 2010) and Saturday, January 23, 2010 there will be basketball games at Davis that will benefit the Haiti effort.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 22, 2010
6 PM
Davis College Falcons Basketball Coach Dan Rathmell challenged the student body this week to get involved in a fundraiser, in addition to the "Help for Haiti" below. His challenge? "Come to Friday night's 6 PM game and see Coach Schreiber and I coaching barefoot." The organization,
Samaritan's Feet, came up with the idea and started an outreach to supply children with shoes and the Word of God. There are several ways people can contribute to this effort. One of the most important ways is by spreading the word of this need, and showing up to support Samaritan's Feet. Another way is by purchasing a pair of new children's shoes and bringing them to the game on Friday night in Robb Activity Center at 7 PM. Coach Rathmell will gather the shoes and drop the moff at one of the several drop houses.
